All Wales Manual Handling Passport (Objects)
Did you know that incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work?
This course has been developed by All Wales Ambulance Services Ltd to meet the standards contained within the NHS & WLGA All Wales Manual Handling Training Passport & Information Schemes.
The course delivers modules A and B of the Passport scheme, and provides a theory-based training programme which is ideal for all employees, as it provides learners with an awareness of safe manual handling practices, and the risks associated with poor practice.
With both modules delivered in just half a working day, this course is an ideal way to reduce the risk of workplace manual handling injuries, whilst minimising disruption to your organisations day to day activities!
Persons involved in the handling of people should continue to complete Modules C - F of the All Wales Manual Handling Passport Scheme.
- Manual Handling Injuries.
- Avoiding musculo-skeletal injuries,
- relevant legislation,
- ergonomics and risk assessment,
- principles of safer handling, team handling &
- Inanimate load (object) Handling. Demonstrates how to safely handle inanimate objects using the principles of safe moving and handling.
This certificate is valid for 1 year from the date of completion
Demonstration of acquired skills in the form of ongoing practical assessments and completeion of a workbook. .
Learners should be aware that certificate attainment will be subject to participation in various manual handling practical activities.
