Medical Gasses (Medical Oxygen & Entonox)

HSE recommends this course for First Aiders in the high risk workplace environment, such as mining, construction developments involving enclosed spaces, and where there may be a possible delay in emergency response.

What You Will Learn:

-    Safety Aspects of Medical Gasses
-    Cylinder Recognition
-    Gas Regulator Recognition
-    Safe Assembly of Equipment
-    Regulations on Delivery of Gasses
-    Indications and Contra-Indications of use
-    Reporting Usage
-    Maintaining Equipment
-    CPR Involving Oxygen Delivery

Pre Entry Course Requirements:

  • Current valid HSE Approved First Aid at Work Certificate.
  • Candidates are advised to revise from course material which can be obtained from our website*, so that knowledge can be applied to practical work within the allocated time.
  • Maximum of 10 candidates.

Course Duration:

  • Candidates are required to obtain four contact hours, excluding breaks.
  • 09:00-14:00 / 12:00-17:00
  • Times can vary to suit your needs.

Certification

  • Medical Gasses Administration Certificate.
  • Candidates will be continually assessed by their Training Facilitator, and undertake a written assessment at the end of the course.
